Invitation

The Australian Health Promotion Association is delighted to invite you to Sydney for its 21st National Conference, 17-19 June 2013. This conference will bring together a diverse range of international and Australian speakers, health promotion and population health workers, partners and stakeholders.

Changing Settings: liveable, vibrant, healthy places`is the Conference title.  The focus will be on settings in health promotion with emphasis on workplaces, children’s environments, local government as well as the virtual communities and the role of social media in health promotion.

Over 700 participants are expected to attend the conference providing an ideal opportunity for networking and professional development. The conference will be of particular interest to practitioners working in government, non-government and private sector organisations as well as those in policy-making, management, research and Aboriginal health areas, volunteers, students.

In addition to being a forum for showcasing best practice, sharing expertise and meeting colleagues the conference will display Sydney’s beautiful harbour and its rich cultural life, with great shopping and world cuisines on offer.

The health promotion sector continues to grow and strengthen. The 21st National Conference reflects the diversity, vibrancy and high quality of contemporary health promotion in Australia. We look forward to seeing you in Sydney in June 2013.
